TriNet, a NYSE-listed HR solutions provider for small and midsize businesses, is looking for an Associate Data Scientist to join its Enterprise Data & Analytics team in Hyderabad. Fresh graduates are explicitly encouraged to apply.
Role Overview
As an Associate Data Scientist you will solve well-defined analytical and machine learning problems, working closely with senior data scientists and data engineers on developing, validating and implementing models. The role emphasises accuracy, consistency and disciplined validation, and is a foundation for growing into more advanced analytical work.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test and implement statistical and machine learning models under guidance from senior team members
- Apply standard techniques such as regression, classification, clustering and forecasting to pre-defined problems
- Clean, transform and prepare data for modelling, and run exploratory data analysis to find patterns, trends and anomalies
- Support hypothesis testing, feature engineering and structured analysis
- Validate model performance using standard metrics and keep outputs accurate and reproducible
- Gain exposure to NLP and LLM-based techniques, including prompt execution and output validation
- Follow coding standards and document models, experiments and outputs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field
- 0–1 year of experience (academic or internship experience in analytics/data science is a plus)
- Basic proficiency in Python, R or similar analytical languages
- Foundational understanding of statistics and machine learning
- Strong attention to detail, structured thinking and problem-solving skills
