Who this role suits

Students and recent graduates who want hands-on experience. Internships are usually judged on curiosity, projects and coursework rather than years of work history.

How to prepare your application

  • Put one or two projects near the top of your résumé, with a link a recruiter can open in a few seconds.
  • Revise core fundamentals for the role; early-career interviews lean heavily on basics and how you reason through a problem.
  • Read what Rothschild Wealth Partners publishes about its product or team, so you can say clearly why this role and this company.

Apply only on Rothschild Wealth Partners's own site. A genuine employer never asks candidates for money, deposits or bank details to apply, interview or “secure” a job. If something looks wrong, use Report a problem with this listing and we will review it. Read how we check listings.

About the role

Since 1908, Rothschild Wealth Partners has helped successful individuals and families organize, grow, and protect their wealth with clarity, conviction, and care. Today we are an independent, employee-owned firm with more than $10 billion in assets under advisement and 90+ employees. With offices nationwide and our main hubs in Chicago’s Loop and Oak Brook, we serve clients across the country and around the world.

We’re growing quickly, pairing emerging talent with advisors who bring decades of experience. Because we aren’t tied to any single provider, our teams build each client’s strategy from a broad range of investments and partners. As an intern, you’ll help shape how those strategies come together and make a real mark on our team.

Your Summer at Rothschild

Over 8 to 10 weeks, you’ll work alongside one of our Client Advisory teams.

  • Research investments, markets, and planning topics, and turn your findings into analysis the team puts to work
  • Help build financial plans and portfolio proposals spanning both public and private markets
  • Collaborate with advisors, operations staff, and outside partners on projects that support the firm’s growth
  • Attend information sessions covering all areas of the wealth management industry, from financial planning and investment management to operations, compliance, and client service

You’ll leave with practical skills, mentors who know your work, and a clear view of what a wealth management career looks like day to day, along with a better sense of which path in the field fits you best.

What We’re Looking For

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field, with graduation expected in 2027
  • Strong analytical skills and genuine curiosity about markets, investing, and how businesses grow
  • Organized across multiple assignments, with the initiative to move work forward when direction is limited
  • A genuine passion for helping people and a drive to build a career in wealth management
  • Grit and resilience: you see challenging work through, welcome feedback, and keep improving
  • Demonstrated leadership in student organizations, athletics, work, or the community
