About the role

Are you always thinking about what makes people stop scrolling, what gets a brand into the conversation, and why some content works while other content falls flat? Do you love connecting the dots between culture, consumer behavior, creative ideas, and social performance?

About the Role

As a Social Strategist on the Strategy team, you’ll help shape how brands show up across social media. You’ll turn audience insights, cultural moments, competitive research, and performance data into strategies that give brands a clear point of view and a reason to stand out. Working closely with creative, account, influencer, and paid media teams, you’ll help move ideas from strategy to execution and find new ways for brands to connect with their audiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop social strategies that move brands forward. Build strategic recommendations rooted in brand objectives, audience behavior, platform best practices, and cultural insights.
  • Find the opportunity in culture. Stay on top of emerging trends, online conversations, and cultural moments to identify where brands can show up in relevant, unexpected, and ownable ways.
  • Shape the content strategy. Establish content pillars, recurring series, and programming recommendations that give brands a clear direction across social platforms.
  • Turn insights into creative ideas. Translate audience behaviors, social listening, and cultural observations into briefs, campaign concepts, and recommendations that inspire creative teams.
  • Know what the competition is doing. Lead competitive audits and social landscape reviews to understand category trends, identify whitespace, and find opportunities for brands to differentiate themselves.
  • Use performance to inform what comes next. Analyze social results, identify patterns in top-performing content, and turn those findings into clear recommendations for future strategy and creative development.
  • Help brands make the most of creators. Develop influencer and creator recommendations that align with brand objectives, audience interests, and campaign goals.
  • Connect organic and paid social. Partner with paid media teams to identify content amplification opportunities and understand how organic learnings can inform broader social investment.
  • Bring a strategic point of view to the table. Present recommendations, communicate the thinking behind your ideas, and help clients and internal teams understand where social can make the biggest impact.
  • Work across teams to bring the strategy to life. Collaborate with creative, account, analytics, and other agency partners to ensure the work stays connected to the strategy from brief through execution.
  • Keep a pulse on the platforms. Stay current on changes to social algorithms, features, formats, and audience behaviors, and identify what those shifts mean for the brands you work on.

What You Bring

  • 3-5 years of experience in social media strategy, digital strategy, content strategy, or a related field. Agency experience is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of social platforms and how brands can use them to build relevance, connect with audiences, and support business goals.
  • A genuine interest in online culture. You’re curious about what people are talking about, why certain content takes off, and what brands can learn from it.
  • Experience developing social strategies, content pillars, creative briefs, campaign recommendations, or content plans.
  • The ability to connect cultural trends and consumer insights to meaningful opportunities for brands, rather than chasing trends just to participate.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn social performance data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Experience with competitive research, social listening, or social analytics tools such as Sprout Social and Airtable.
  • An understanding of influencer marketing, creator partnerships, and the relationship between organic and paid social.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate strategic thinking clearly to both internal teams and clients.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, be able to adapt easily, and prioritize while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
  • A collaborative leader mindset, a positive attitude, and the confidence to contribute ideas, challenge assumptions, and push the work further.
  • A balance of creative curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. You can recognize a strong idea, explain why it makes sense, and use insights to make it even better.

Why You’ll Love This Role

You’ll work across different brands, be part of the conversations shaping social, and help turn great ideas into work that gets people talking. From brainstorming new content opportunities to digging into performance and figuring out what we should do next, there’s always something new to tackle. You’ll work alongside creative and strategy teams, have room to lead, bring your own ideas to the table, and help brands show up in ways that feel fresh and relevant.
