Who this role suits

Students and recent graduates who want hands-on experience. Internships are usually judged on curiosity, projects and coursework rather than years of work history.

How to prepare your application

  • Put one or two projects near the top of your résumé, with a link a recruiter can open in a few seconds.
  • Revise core fundamentals for the role; early-career interviews lean heavily on basics and how you reason through a problem.
  • Read what Chapter Renovation publishes about its product or team, so you can say clearly why this role and this company.

Apply only on Chapter Renovation's own site. A genuine employer never asks candidates for money, deposits or bank details to apply, interview or “secure” a job. If something looks wrong, use Report a problem with this listing and we will review it. Read how we check listings.

About the role

Social Media Marketing Intern

Location: NYC

Type: Full-Time Internship (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Duration: 6 Months

Compensation: $3,000/month + commute reimbursement

About Chapter

Chapter is a technology-driven design-build firm delivering high-end residential renovations across Miami, New York City, New Jersey, Westchester, and Connecticut.

We operate at the intersection of design, construction, and technology — bringing all phases of renovation under one integrated system. Our model eliminates the fragmentation, miscommunication, and inefficiencies that define the industry.

Our mission: deliver exceptional design, on budget, on schedule, through structured execution and transparent communication.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on internship. You will be embedded in live construction environments, not behind a desk producing hypothetical content.

The Social Media Marketing Intern captures real project activity and translates it into high-quality, brand-aligned content across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. You’ll leave with a portfolio built on actual work, direct exposure to a scaling company, and skills you can’t get in a classroom.

What You’ll Be Doing

Content Creation

  • Shoot photo and video content across active renovation sites — before, during, and after
  • Edit and produce content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and website use
  • Maintain visual consistency aligned with Chapter’s brand standards
  • Turn real project moments into clear, compelling stories

Field & Site Work

  • Visit a minimum of 3 active job sites per week
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Designers to identify content opportunities
  • Document milestones, transformations, and behind-the-scenes progress in real time

Strategy & Planning

  • Assist in building and managing content calendars
  • Contribute ideas for campaigns, recurring series, and platform-native formats
  • Align content with business priorities — projects, hiring, and brand positioning

Performance Tracking

  • Monitor engagement metrics across platforms
  • Pull insights and share recommendations with the team
  • Stay current on trends, formats, and algorithm changes

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn as platforms
  • Ability to shoot and edit video content independently
  • Working knowledge of at least one editing tool: CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
  • Comfortable with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite

Skills & Traits

  • Strong visual instincts: composition, lighting, pacing
  • Sense of taste and brand awareness
  • Organized and able to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, unscripted environments
  • Proactive: you notice what’s worth capturing before anyone tells you to

Nice to Have

  • Interest in architecture, design, real estate, or construction
  • Experience creating content for a premium or luxury brand
  • Ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams
