This role is designed for an experienced revenue cycle professional who is comfortable getting directly into the work while also helping lead new client implementations, improve workflows, document processes, and support teams as new accounts launch.

You’ll work across different clients, specialties, payer environments, and billing systems—helping understand how each client operates, resolving complex revenue cycle issues, and establishing processes that can be transitioned to the long-term account team.

  • Research and resolve denied, underpaid, rejected, and outstanding claims
  • Work directly within client practice management systems, payer portals, and clearinghouses
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand existing workflows and resolve operational challenges
  • Identify recurring denial, reimbursement, and workflow issues and recommend process improvements
  • Evaluate existing procedures and identify gaps in SOPs, documentation, and account workflows
  • Document payer requirements, exceptions, workflows, and best practices to support training and knowledge transfer
  • Provide hands-on production support while newly assigned teams complete training and ramp up
  • Conduct quality reviews, identify recurring errors, and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist with training, mentoring, and operational guidance for RCM staff
  • Test technology-enabled workflows against real-world billing scenarios and communicate findings to operations, product, and technical teams
  • Support account transitions from implementation into ongoing production

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on healthcare revenue cycle experience
  • Strong background in medical billing, insurance A/R, payer follow-up, denial management, and appeals
  • Previous experience within a physician practice, medical group, hospital, or other healthcare provider environment
  • Experience independently researching and resolving complex reimbursement issues
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer workflows
  • Experience with payer portals, clearinghouses, and multiple practice management or billing systems
  • Experience preparing appeals and gathering supporting documentation
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through team leadership, training, mentoring, QA, workflow ownership, or process improvement
  • Ability to learn new systems, specialties, and client workflows quickly
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving environment
