About the role
We are looking for a hands-on senior technical leader to help grow a fiber optic assembly business.
You’ll develop complex assemblies, solve production challenges, and turn new customer opportunities into real products. This is not a pure management role. You’ll stay actively involved in the process, the people, and the product.
What you’ll do
- Own the development and production of high-density single-mode and multimode MTP/MPO assemblies, trunks, breakouts, and custom builds
- Lead process ownership from termination and polishing through testing, troubleshooting, and yield improvement
- Take new products and connector platforms from RFQ through process qualification and production launch
- Drive manufacturing yield, throughput, and consistency improvements
- Mentor technicians and engineers and jump into the hardest technical problems
What we’re looking for
- Strong hands-on experience building and engineering high-density MTP/MPO multifiber assemblies
- Practical knowledge of ferrule polishing processes (including the challenges that come with TMT and multi-fiber ferrules)
- Experience supporting data center, hyperscale, telecom, or high-speed optical applications
- Comfort working to IEC, TIA, Telcordia, and customer-specific optical performance and inspection requirements
- Track record of improving yields or standing up new assembly processes
Nice to have
- Direct experience with US Conec products and processes
- Exposure to MMC, VSFF, or other next-generation connector platforms
- Experience qualifying a new connector assembly capability from the ground up
If this matches your background and you want a senior role where your technical skills still matter every day, apply here!
