TITLE:
Senior FP&A Analyst
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
This candidate will maintain and update the forecast/channel-level reporting for an assigned BL101 sales channel (Ops & Retail, DTC: Ecom/Amazon/TikTok, or Wholesale), incorporating the latest input from that channel's functional partners (e.g., Ops/Retail, Marketing, Content). This is a full time exempt role that reports to the Senior Director of Finance. Full P&L ownership for the channel sits with the Senior Director of Finance and CFO; this role is the analytical engine that keeps the forecast current between them.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior FP&A Analyst is responsible for the following:
- Updates and maintains the channel-level forecast based on the latest input from the channel's functional departments
- Partners closely with functional teams (e.g., Ops/Retail, Marketing, Content) to gather assumptions, spend plans, and timing that feed the forecast
- Pulls and maintains the underlying data (NetSuite, sales systems, and other source data) that supports the forecast
- Flags when a department's assumptions are consistently off versus actuals and surface the discrepancy
- Builds and maintains channel-level scorecards and KPI reporting
- Analyzes variances to forecast/budget and identifies underlying drivers, risks, and opportunities
- Rolls up channel-level updates into the company-wide operating model owned by the Senior Director and CFO
- Tracks channel-specific economics (e.g., spend efficiency/ROI for DTC, sell-through and inventory timing for Wholesale, comp performance for Retail)
- Supports ad hoc analysis for leadership, lenders, and the ownership group as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, consulting, or investment banking, ideally with exposure to consumer products, apparel, or a multi-channel retail environment. Experience partnering cross-functionally to build and maintain a forecast preferred.
SKILLS:
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, comfortable working with large datasets
- Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP/BI system a plus
- Ability to communicate financial results clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Comfortable synthesizing input from multiple functional partners into a single, current forecast
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasional standing or walking within the office
- Frequent use of hands for typing and data entry
- Occasional travel as needed
