About the role
Senior Financial Analyst (Financial Analyst III)
Oak Brook, IL area (hybrid, in office Tue to Thu) · $95,000 to $115,000 base
A family-owned manufacturer in the western suburbs, about $250M in revenue with 1,000+ employees, is adding a senior analyst to its FP&A team. The company makes engineered products for automotive, off-road and industrial customers, and runs machining, assembly and testing in-house.
The company just went live on a new ERP, and the finance team is building its forecasting and reporting from the ground up. This seat takes high-level results and turns them into driver analysis, forward models and tools that leadership uses. You will report to the FP&A Manager, who came up through cost accounting, and work every day with plant and operations leaders.
What you will own
- Turn monthly results into clear driver and trend analysis, not just variances
- Build the models behind the monthly rolling forecast and the annual budget
- Model proposed business changes and run scenario analysis for leadership
- Partner with plant and operations owners on cost, volume and process questions
- Automate manual reporting and recurring month-end work
- Build Power BI dashboards and reports with IT
- Write reports in the new ERP and work with large data sets
What you bring
- Bachelor’s in accounting, finance, analytics, engineering or related field
- 4+ years in financial analysis, FP&A or cost accounting
- A cost foundation: you understand units, volume and per-unit cost
- Advanced Excel and strong modeling
- Power BI or similar BI tools
- Self-directed: hand you a problem and you dig in
Nice to have
- Manufacturing experience
- SQL or Python
- Excel-based report writers (Smartview, Planning Analytics or similar)
- IFS or another ERP’s subledgers and queries
Details
- Hybrid, in office Tuesday to Thursday, Oak Brook area
- $95,000 to $115,000 base, plus benefits and 401(k) match
- Fast, small interview process
