Role Description The Senior Director of Global Sourcing & Product Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Plantation, FL. This position leads the end-to-end sourcing strategy for GhostBed’s product portfolio, including mattresses, frames, and accessories, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality, and sustainable supply. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing global supplier relationships, overseeing procurement activities, developing and refining product specifications, and coordinating with design, operations, and finance teams to align product development with business goals. The role will drive contract negotiations, evaluate supplier performance, mitigate supply chain risks, and support continuous improvement in lead times, quality standards, and margin optimization. The Senior Director will also monitor market trends and materials innovation to guide new product development and enhance the customer experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong supplier management and supplier development skills to build and maintain high-performing global vendor networks.
- Candidates should possess expertise in contract negotiation and procurement to secure favorable terms and ensure reliable supply of materials and finished goods.
- Candidates should possess solid supply chain management experience, including forecasting, logistics coordination, and risk mitigation in a global environment.
- Experience in product development for consumer goods, ideally in bedding, furniture, or related home products, including working with design and engineering teams.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and strategic initiatives, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across operations, finance, marketing, and executive leadership.
- Proficiency with sourcing and supply chain tools, ERP systems, and data analysis; familiarity with sustainability and compliance standards is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are a plus.
