About the role

The Company

Philip Morris International (PMI) is a global leader in the tobacco industry, employing approximately 83,170 people worldwide and listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: PM). Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, PMI is undergoing a historic transformation, redefining its business by leading the charge toward a smoke-free future. The company is investing billions in science, research, and technology to develop reduced-risk alternatives to traditional cigarettes. While not risk-free, these smoke-free products provide a better option than continued cigarette smoking. PMI’s vision is clear: to replace cigarettes with scientifically backed, innovative alternatives that positively impact public health and reshape the industry. This shift is the biggest in PMI’s history, and it’s the right one for consumers, society, shareholders, and the company itself. Few organizations offer the opportunity to be part of such a massive industry transformation—one that is not just about selling products, but about changing the way people consume nicotine worldwide. Driven by science and innovation, PMI is at the forefront of a global movement that requires collaboration from regulatory bodies, public health leaders, and civil society. With the right support, PMI believes it can accelerate the transition to a smoke-free world and deliver a lasting positive impact on global health. At PMI, employees are part of a forward-thinking organization that fosters career growth, innovation, and corporate responsibility. As a company committed to sustainability, diversity, and inclusion, PMI is not just leading change, it’s shaping the future.

PMI’s Operating Principles

  • Our views and standards - We will act responsibly in our drive to create a smoke-free future.
  • It’s not what we say we will do to deliver a smoke- free future, but how we do it, which matters.
  • We’ve set out a bold vision for PMI, but it is critical that both our own employees and any third-party suppliers and partners we work with respect our views and standards in the pursuit of that goal.
  • Our standards - The marketing standards we set ourselves, which in many places are higher than those of some governments.
  • Our commitment to compliance and integrity, including our Code of Conduct, which outlines the ethical responsibilities our employees are bound by.
  • Our comprehensive and robust approach to scientific research, which has already produced more than 500 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. The transparent way in which we operate as a business, including disclosing our lobbying, our political contributions, and our participation in business and trade associations
