About the role
We are partnered with a leading technology-driven firm in Chicago looking to add a strong Software Engineer to a growing platform engineering team.
This is a highly technical engineering role focused on building and improving large-scale, performance-sensitive systems used across the organization.
What You’ll Work On
- Designing and building complex distributed systems
- Developing high-performance software in C++ and/or Rust
- Improving the scalability, reliability, and performance of core platforms
- Solving challenging systems and infrastructure problems
- Building tools and services used by highly technical internal users
- Working across different layers of the technology stack
- Collaborating with engineers and technical stakeholders on system design and architecture
What They’re Looking For
- Strong professional experience with C++ or Rust
- Distributed systems or large-scale systems experience
- Strong CS and software engineering fundamentals
- Experience with performance-sensitive or systems-level engineering
- Platform, infrastructure, HPC, or backend engineering experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
