About the role

Nassau County, Long Island | On-site | $110,000 – $125,000 Base + Bonus

Green Key Resources is partnering with a growing financial services company to hire a Senior Analyst, Finance Operations & Analytics. This role sits right where operations meets finance. You'll follow how money moves through the business (billing, cash, receivables, payments), tie it back to the books, build the reporting leadership relies on, and fix processes that need fixing.

This is a great fit if you've worked in a hands-on, high-volume operational finance seat and want more analytics and FP&A exposure.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze end-to-end finance operations, including billing and invoicing, cash application, AR, collections, refunds and payments
  • Track volumes, aging, turnaround times, exception rates and backlogs, and flag issues before they become problems
  • Reconcile operational and source-system data to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close: schedules, accrual support and variance explanations
  • Build and improve KPIs, dashboards, recurring reports and workpapers
  • Pull together and validate large data sets from multiple systems; run ad hoc analysis with root cause and recommendations
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, business cases and staffing/workload analysis
  • Redesign templates, reconciliations and reporting packages, and automate manual work while keeping strong controls
  • Help with finance system implementations, including requirements, process and data mapping, UAT testing and documentation
  • Partner with Finance Operations, Financial Reporting, Treasury, Internal Controls and IT, and support audits

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Data Analytics or a related field
  • 5+ years in finance operations, operational or revenue accounting, AR/billing/cash management, revenue cycle, FP&A or finance analytics
  • Hands-on experience in a high-volume transactional environment (billing, cash app, AR, collections, payments or claims)
  • Some FP&A exposure, such as forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis or business case support
  • Advanced Excel (complex, repeatable workpapers) and strong PowerPoint
  • Solid understanding of the GL, close, reconciliations, internal controls and transaction workflows
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and figuring out the "why" behind the numbers

Nice to Have

  • Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx or VBA
  • ERP experience and system implementation, data conversion or UAT experience
  • Experience in financial services, healthcare revenue cycle, payments or another regulated industry
  • CPA, MBA or Lean Six Sigma

Why This Role

  • High-visibility role on a lean finance team, with real ownership and impact
  • A mix of operations, accounting and FP&A that broadens your skill set
  • The chance to build dashboards, redesign processes and drive automation
  • Stable Long Island company, with no NYC commute
