Job Description

Join Fagor Automation

Fagor Automation is a global leader in CNC systems, feedback solutions, drives, motors, and automation technologies for the machine tool and manufacturing industries. We are looking for a Sales Administrator to keep our order-to-cash process running accurately and on time from our Rolling Meadows, IL office.

Role Overview

The Sales Administrator supports the full Fagor Automation product line across all business areas. Following the guidelines of the Sales team, and in coordination with company headquarters and our customers, this position participates in the complete order-to-cash process: overall planning, order receipt, shipments, credit risk, and collection. The Sales Administrator is responsible for managing and controlling all documentation related to sales administration. This is an on-site position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Sales team in preparing quotes and proposals for customers.

• Manage incoming orders for timing, order type, ongoing credit risk, and commercial conditions, and verify the correct configuration of each order before processing.

• Notify customers of agreed dates, coordinate shipments, and keep customers informed of the status of their orders at all times.

• Negotiate and coordinate requested quantities and delivery dates with the planning team, and monitor compliance with the commitments made.

• Prepare the daily MRP (material requirements planning) run and send it to company headquarters in Spain each day, verifying that demand, inventory, and replenishment data are accurate and complete, and following up on open items with headquarters.

• Prepare packing slips and shipping documentation; when an order is affected by a credit hold, notify the customer and coordinate next steps with Finance.

• Issue, manage, and track the documentation that must accompany merchandise through customs for international shipments.

• Prepare monthly sales and order reports for management.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date order, shipment, and customer records in the company’s ERP system.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, foreign trade, or a related field — or equivalent experience.

• 2+ years of experience in sales administration, order management, customer service, or logistics support.

• Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system required; SAP strongly preferred. Proficiency with

Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities against deadlines.

• Strong communication skills, written and spoken, with customers and internal teams alike.

• Spanish language skills are a plus (we coordinate daily with our headquarters in Spain) — not required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $50,000 – $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

• Excellent health, dental, and long-term disability insurance.

• 401(k) plan with the company matching 50% of employee contributions, up to 4% of annual compensation; eligible for enrollment after one year of service.

• 15 days paid vacation per year and 5 sick days per year, plus paid holidays.

• A laptop computer will be provided.

Why Join Fagor Automation?

• Work with a respected global automation brand with a strong market reputation.

• Exposure to innovative technologies and challenging customer applications.

• Collaborative international environment with strong technical and commercial support.
