About the role

Our client is looking for a contractor to provide hands-on execution support for FR 2052a production. The role will make sure the data used for regulatory reporting is well-controlled, traceable end-to-end, and backed by clear documentation and governance. The person in this seat will be a lead and will manage the other Business Analysts on the team. Their main deliverable is to follow the governance model and document controls across technology, maker/checkers, and report owners, covering ownership, attestations, issues, and change management.

  • Run the FR 2052a production process, including:
  • Source-to-report mappings, key calculations and material assumptions
  • Writing BRDs for Technology
  • Keeping version control and audit-ready evidence
  • Partner with data owners, SMEs and technology teams to produce accurate, timely reporting
  • Map processes to governance and controls (controls inventory, control descriptions, testing artifacts, issue management)
  • Investigate data issues with Technology, Treasury, Finance, Risk and Data Management, and put sustainable fixes in place
  • Manage the daily 2052a submission completed by other team members

Must-Have Requirements

  • 8+ years in Treasury, Liquidity Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, or Finance within a bank
  • Direct, hands-on experience producing and managing the FR 2052a, ideally in a daily T+2 reporting environment
  • Strong grasp of FR 2052a instructions, reporting schedules, data sourcing, regulatory interpretations and governance requirements
  • 5+ years of recent experience running report production end-to-end: data validation, reconciliations, exception management, issue resolution, and regulatory submission support
  • Experience writing BRDs, functional specifications, process flows and data mapping documentation
  • Experience leading and running UAT, including writing test scripts, managing defects, and validating regulatory reporting enhancements
  • Advanced Excel: complex formulas, data analysis, reconciliations, pivot tables and large datasets
  • 5+ years in a lead role, managing the execution of assigned tasks

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience supporting other regulatory liquidity reports (LCR, NSFR, FR Y-15, 6G FR 2052a, Resolution Planning, Reg YY)
  • Ability to assess new products, business initiatives, and transactions to decide FR 2052a reporting treatment and data requirements
  • Strong knowledge of banking products and balance sheet activity: deposits, loans, secured funding, derivatives, prime brokerage, securities financing and capital markets products
  • Familiarity with SQL, data warehouses, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint and reporting automation
  • Experience supporting regulatory exams, internal audits, or remediation programs

Soft Skills

  • Hands-on and focused on execution, willing to dig in and solve issues independently

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Willing to challenge assumptions, investigate discrepancies, and see issues through to resolution
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across business and technology teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage several deliverables at once
  • Effective in a fast-paced regulatory reporting environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities

Education and Certifications
