About the role

Engineering Manager Overview

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee product development and manufacturing integration for high-performance electronic components and modules. This role leads a team responsible for moving new technologies from development into qualified, high-volume production. The position emphasizes product performance, manufacturing readiness, process control, reliability, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in RF and microwave engineering with hands-on testing experience, manufacturing process knowledge, and engineering team leadership.

Engineering Manager Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of engineers supporting new product development and manufacturing integration.
  • Oversee product transitions from initial feasibility and design through validation, qualification, production ramp-up, and release.
  • Collaborate with design, research and development, manufacturing, quality, reliability, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Evaluate product designs, simulations, tolerances, and production capabilities to ensure performance and manufacturability requirements are met.
  • Develop test methodologies, technical specifications, and procedures for product characterization and production testing.
  • Oversee electrical testing, performance analysis, and measurement correlation across manufacturing sites and test platforms.
  • Improve production yield, product reliability, process capability, and manufacturing costs.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using statistical analysis and structured problem-solving methods.
  • Establish process controls, qualification criteria, and manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Support supplier qualification, process validation, and the implementation of new technologies.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable industry regulations.
  • Monitor development schedules, production readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Engineering Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, including coursework in microwave theory.
  • 5+ years of experience in RF/microwave product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or new product introduction.
  • 5+ years of engineering team management experience.
  • Experience transitioning RF products from development through qualification and stable, high-volume manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with RF component and module testing, characterization, and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of RF/microwave theory, test equipment, multi-port S-parameter measurements, and performance parameters such as IP3, P1dB, and noise figure.
  • Experience developing test plans, validating measurement setups, and correlating results across sites or test platforms.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE), root cause analysis, and manufacturing process improvement.
  • Familiarity with product development and qualification frameworks, including APQP or PPAP.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (Green Card holder).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ceramic-based electronic components or LTCC manufacturing.
  • Background supporting aerospace, defense, satellite communications, telecommunications, or automotive products.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software such as JMP, Minitab, Tableau, or MATLAB.
  • Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, or CST.
