Who this role suits

Experienced professionals who can lead projects, set direction and be accountable for outcomes, not just tasks.

How to prepare your application

  • Check your résumé against the listed skills (QHSE Manager, EHS Manager and Hse Manager) and give each one a concrete example: what you built or achieved, not just that you used it.
  • Prepare examples of decisions you drove, how you measured the result, and how you worked with other teams.
  • Be ready to discuss trade-offs and scope, not only the tools you have used.
  • Read what Top Transport Talent publishes about its product or team, so you can say clearly why this role and this company.
  • For remote roles, show that you communicate clearly in writing and can work without close supervision.

Apply only on Top Transport Talent's own site. A genuine employer never asks candidates for money, deposits or bank details to apply, interview or “secure” a job. If something looks wrong, use Report a problem with this listing and we will review it. Read how we check listings.

About the role

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Governance: Formulate, roll out, and drive the long-term QSHE strategy across Japan's Air, Sea, and Contract Logistics business units.

Regulatory Leadership: Act as the company's official representative before Japanese regulatory bodies, guaranteeing 100% compliance with local legal structures (Industrial Safety and Health Act, Fire Service Act, High Pressure Gas Safety Act).

ISO Maintenance: Command and preserve certifications for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, steering external audit processes with zero critical non-conformances.

Subcontractor & Vendor Management: Evaluate and standardize the safety and quality frameworks of third-party domestic transport partners and warehouse contractors.

Crisis Management & CAPA: Lead immediate response plans for site-level operational incidents, completing comprehensive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing absolute Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

Corporate Reporting: Synthesize local KPI data and deliver regular analytical reports detailing country-wide safety performance, carbon footprint improvements, and environmental impacts to APAC regional leadership.

Requirements & Ideal Profile

Experience: 7+ years of progressive leadership within QSHE/EHS domains—specifically within Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain, or Pharma/Chemical manufacturing.

Leadership Style: Proactive, collaborative leader capable of moving away from a checkbox mentality to build a deeply rooted, behavioral safety culture across multi-cultural teams.
