About HardScope
HardScope is a YouTube-first media company building original programming at the intersection of internet culture, lifestyle, and the creator economy.
The Role
The Production Manager keeps Studio's slate on schedule, controlled, and visible. You'll own the project management layer across our long-form and short-form productions, tracking every project from greenlight through delivery and making sure the right people have what they need at the right time.
This is a project management role first. You won't be the creative lead or the on-set producer, but you need to understand production deeply enough to build realistic timelines, spot risks early, and speak the same language as producers, editors, and post. You'll work daily with Studio's creative, production, post-production, and design teams.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain timelines for every Studio project, from greenlight through pre-production, shoot, post, and delivery.
- Run the slate in Monday.com: keep boards accurate, statuses current, and dependencies visible so leadership can see where everything stands without asking.
- Forecast capacity across shooters, editors, and post so we commit to what we can actually deliver.
- Coordinate multi-episode long-form series: shoot blocks, travel legs, episode breakdowns, post schedules, and release dates.
- Keep high-volume short-form moving: weekly deliverable counts, turnaround times, review cycles, and publishing windows across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
- Understand where the two pipelines compete for the same people and resources, and resolve conflicts before they become delays.
- Be the connective tissue between creative, production, post-production, design, and partnerships so handoffs don't fall through the cracks.
- Track deliverables tied to brand integrations and sponsor commitments, flagging anything at risk against contractual deadlines.
- Run recurring production check-ins and turn them into clear owners, next steps, and dates.
- Identify schedule slips, scope creep, and resourcing gaps, then escalate with options.
- Partner with vendors and freelancers on scheduling and delivery, and keep their work tracked alongside in-house projects.
- Help track production budgets and actuals against plan in coordination with finance.
- Tighten our production process over time: templates, intake, review cycles, and handoff checklists.
- Build lightweight systems the team will actually use, in the tools we already have.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in production coordination, production management, or project management at a digital media company, studio, creator business, or agency.
- Hands-on familiarity with both long-form and short-form production: you know what pre-production, shoot days, post, and delivery actually involve, and how long each really takes.
- A track record of managing many concurrent projects and deliverables without losing the thread.
- Fluency in project management tools, Google Workspace, Slack, and Discord.
- Clear, direct communication with creators, talent managers, producers, editors, and executives alike.
- Comfort escalating bad news early and bringing a proposed fix with it.
- Strong working knowledge of TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
Nice To Have
- Experience working directly with creators or talent in creator-led entertainment.
- Experience tracking branded integrations or sponsor deliverables against partner commitments.
- Some on-set or live event production experience.
- Working knowledge of editing workflows (Premiere, CapCut, or similar) and post-production review tools.
- Experience building or improving a production process.
Compensation
$90,000-110,000
