Who this role suits

Freshers and early starters. The posting does not ask for prior full-time experience, so projects, internships and clear fundamentals count the most.

How to prepare your application

  • Check your résumé against the listed skills (Product Management, Computer Software and Freshers Welcome) and give each one a concrete example: what you built or achieved, not just that you used it.
  • Put one or two projects near the top of your résumé, with a link a recruiter can open in a few seconds.
  • Revise core fundamentals for the role; early-career interviews lean heavily on basics and how you reason through a problem.
  • Read what PhonePe publishes about its product or team, so you can say clearly why this role and this company.

Apply only on PhonePe's own site. A genuine employer never asks candidates for money, deposits or bank details to apply, interview or “secure” a job. If something looks wrong, use Report a problem with this listing and we will review it. Read how we check listings.

About the role

Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious, systems-thinking, and highly analytical Product Manager to take ownership of our foundational cash management, treasury, and settlement ecosystem. As our transaction volume scales, the complexity of moving money efficiently, securely, and reliably becomes paramount.

In this role, you will be the driving force behind the core systems that govern optimal liquidity, power seamless financial operations, and establish direct integrations with central payment networks. You will navigate complex regulatory and technical landscapes, starting with optimizing our daily liquidity and settlement operations. Over time, you will spearhead the evolution of this function from an operational backbone into a highly strategic, value-generating engine that optimizes our working capital and financial intelligence.

What You Will Do

  • Drive Core Treasury Platforms: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for our treasury and liquidity management platforms, translating complex financial workflows into scalable, automated product architectures.

  • Optimize Money Movement: Design and launch scalable products that automate fund flows, optimize merchant payouts, and ensure seamless money movement across our internal and external ecosystems.

  • Build for System Resilience: Develop highly fault-tolerant platform capabilities that guarantee business continuity, intelligent transaction routing, and systemic resilience against external network or banking outages.

  • Enable Financial Intelligence: Create product features and tools that empower our finance and treasury teams with advanced cash flow forecasting, real-time visibility, and strategic capital optimization.

  • Manage Complex Integrations: Lead the product strategy for secure and robust API integrations with key financial networks and banking partners to expand our foundational operational capabilities.

  • Embed Compliance & Controls: Ensure all treasury products are built with a compliance-first mindset, incorporating automated reconciliation, rigorous financial controls, and seamless auditability.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven experience in Product Management, successfully taking complex, backend-heavy products from conception to launch.

  • Domain Preference: Prior experience in Fintech, Banking, Payments, or building highly scalable backend platform products is highly preferred (though not a strict requirement for a fast learner with strong fundamentals).

  • Technical Acumen: Ability to deeply understand and orchestrate complex transaction flows, messaging architectures, and secure API integrations between internal ledgers and external financial institutions.

  • Analytical Rigor: Exceptional data-driven problem-solving skills. You should be comfortable navigating complex financial workflows, large-scale reconciliations, and designing solutions for intricate edge cases.

  • Strategic Execution: A strong bias for action with the ability to balance immediate operational requirements with long-term, highly scalable platform architecture.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You will need to collaborate seamlessly with and influence engineering, finance, treasury operations, and legal/compliance teams.
