Job Description
Job Description
We’re partnering with an established organization that is continuing to build out its Product function and is looking for an experienced Product Manager focused on new offerings, market expansion, and product innovation.
This person will identify opportunities to expand existing offerings or introduce new ones based on evolving customer needs, market trends, competitive insights, and emerging risks. The role combines product strategy, market analysis, customer experience, and go-to-market execution, with ownership from initial opportunity assessment through launch and ongoing growth.
What You’ll Do- Identify and evaluate opportunities for new products, expanded offerings, customer segments, and markets.
- Monitor market shifts, competitive activity, emerging risks, and changing customer needs to help shape future product direction.
- Build the business case for new opportunities by assessing customer value, market potential, feasibility, investment, and risk.
- Set product strategy and roadmaps that balance growth opportunities with customer and business needs.
- Take new ideas from early research and validation through development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
- Partner with customers and internal teams to validate needs and determine whether an opportunity is worth pursuing.
- Work across technology, UX, operations, marketing, sales, and business teams to bring new offerings to market.
- Develop launch and rollout strategies, including pilots, sequencing, dependencies, and measures of success.
- Use customer feedback, market response, and product performance to refine offerings and determine where additional expansion makes sense.
- Bring cross-functional stakeholders together to evaluate opportunities, make trade-offs, and align around product decisions.
- Strong Product Management experience with ownership of new products, product expansion, or innovation initiatives.
- Experience using market research, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to identify product opportunities.
- Proven ability to evaluate new ideas, develop a strong business case, and determine which opportunities warrant investment.
- Experience bringing products or offerings from concept and validation through launch and growth.
- Strong understanding of customer experience practices such as journey mapping, personas, service design, and user research.
- Experience partnering with marketing, sales, business development, technology, design, and operations on product launches.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance market opportunity, customer value, business impact, and execution risk.
- Experience working in an Agile product environment.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- Experience within insurance, healthcare, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
- Background developing or expanding insurance products, coverage offerings, or other risk-related products.
- Experience taking an established product into new customer segments, markets, or channels.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, AI, automation, and broader digital transformation initiatives.
This role is much more than managing an existing product. The organization is looking for someone who can spot where the market is heading, identify opportunities worth pursuing, and turn those opportunities into viable products and offerings.
It’s a strong opportunity for a Product Manager who enjoys the front end of product strategy and innovation, but also wants to stay involved through validation, launch, market adoption, and growth.
