About the role
MLS Acquisition Manager
Location: Territory-based — currently hiring for Charlotte, NC. Remote within your assigned territory; requires local market knowledge and the ability to travel within-territory for property visits.
About the Role
The MLS Acquisition Manager sources and closes residential property acquisitions by working the open MLS directly with listing agents — no cold homeowner outreach, no generated leads to chase. This is a fast-paced, hunter-style sales role built for someone who thrives on persistence: submitting offers, following up relentlessly with agents, and closing deals in a competitive market. Real estate or acquisitions professionals who've worked in institutional single-family investing will recognize the pace and structure immediately.
What You'll Do
- Identify and evaluate MLS listings that fit the company's acquisition criteria
- Submit and negotiate offers directly with listing agents
- Manage a high-volume pipeline of active offers and follow-ups
- Visit properties within territory as needed to assess condition and rehab scope before purchase
- Use the company's internal automated MLS offer tool to manage and track deal flow
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in single-family institutional real estate acquisitions (acquisition manager, acquisition analyst, or real estate investment agent background)
- Active real estate license, or ability to obtain/reinstate one quickly (weeks, not months)
- Strong negotiation instincts and comfort with high-volume, fast-paced outreach
- Local market knowledge within the assigned territory and ability to travel for property visits
- Institutional/agency-side real estate experience (companies like Tricon, Invitation Homes, AMH, Progress Residential, Home Partners of America, Opendoor, Offerpad, Redfin, and similar) strongly preferred
- Flexible schedule for evenings/weekends when needed
Compensation & Structure
- Base salary of $50,000, with meaningful upside — top performers can see base grow over time
- Uncapped commission: $1,500 per closed property
- Realistic total compensation range of $100,000–$200,000+ depending on volume
- W-2 employment with full benefits — not a 1099/contractor arrangement
