About the role
The Role
As a Line Chef, you'll prepare and cook our Mediterranean menu to spec, keep your station clean and organized, and work as part of a tight, supportive kitchen team.
What You'll Do
Prepare and cook menu items to recipe and plating standards
Set up, stock and break down your station each shift
Do daily prep: butchery, sauces, dips, marinades, vegetables and baked goods as assigned
Work grill, sauté, fry or pantry stations as needed
Keep food quality and ticket times consistent during service
Follow food safety, sanitation and labeling/rotation (FIFO) standards
Help with deliveries, inventory and deep cleaning
What We're Looking For
1–2+ years of line cook experience (Mediterranean cuisine a plus)
Solid knife skills and a basic understanding of cooking techniques
Ability to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced kitchen
Illinois Food Handler certification, or able to get it within 30 days of hire
Availability on nights, weekends and holidays
Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
