A well-established investment firm is seeking a Long/Short Equity Analyst to join its investment team, with a focus on the Business Services sector .
The firm operates a market-neutral equity strategy and is looking for an investor who can contribute directly to the research and investment process. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys fundamental, bottoms-up investing and wants to work in a rigorous, research-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct fundamental research on companies across the Business Services landscape
- Develop differentiated investment theses and identify attractive long and short opportunities
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks
- Perform industry, company, competitive, and management analysis
- Monitor existing positions and continuously evaluate catalysts, risks, and changing fundamentals
- Generate actionable investment ideas and present recommendations to the broader investment team
- Work closely with senior investors throughout the research and portfolio-construction process
Ideal Background:
- Buyside investment experience is required , ideally within a fundamental L/S, market-neutral, or similarly research-intensive strategy
- Strong experience analyzing Business Services companies and related subsectors
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop investment theses
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and fundamental research skills
- Comfortable evaluating both long and short opportunities
- Highly analytical, intellectually curious, and detail-oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
