About the role
Our client is seeking a Footwear Product Development Manager to play a key role within the product creation team. This individual will partner closely with Design and Merchandising to drive sourcing strategy, manage vendor relationships, oversee production timelines, and ensure products meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Develop and manage strategic factory and supply chain partnerships
✅ Oversee production from development through delivery
✅ Track and approve pre-production samples
✅ Manage seasonal calendars and production timelines
✅ Analyze vendor capacities and support allocation planning
✅ Drive continuous improvement across sourcing, quality, and production processes
Qualifications:
✔ 5+ years of sourcing and production experience in athletic footwear
✔ Strong understanding of footwear manufacturing and supply chains
✔ Product costing experience
✔ Experience working directly with overseas factories and development centers
✔ Ability to travel internationally approximately twice per year
✔ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
