About the role

About Aircraft Structures Group

Aircraft Structures Group (ASG) is an FAA Part 145 certificated repair station (FSIR095E) specializing in fuel leak and fuel tank repair, structural repair, and 24/7 AOG (Aircraft on Ground) response. Our teams travel to our customers' hangars and ramps across the US and beyond, working on business jets, airliners and general aviation aircraft. We're headquartered in Brentwood, TN, with teams based in Nashville, Savannah, Mesa and Los Angeles.

About the role

We're looking for a motivated entry-level aircraft mechanic to join our team. You'll work alongside experienced technicians and learn hands-on how to find and repair fuel leaks, perform sheet-metal structural repairs, and support AOG missions. No prior fuel tank experience is needed. We'll train you.

What you'll do

  • Assist senior technicians with fuel tank entry, leak detection, sealant removal and re-sealing
  • Perform sheet-metal repairs (drilling, riveting, fastener installation, corrosion treatment) under supervision
  • Prepare aircraft for repair: access panels, defuel and purge support, tooling setup
  • Follow FAA regulations, manufacturer data and company procedures on every job
  • Keep work areas, tools and kits organized and ready for the next deployment
  • Travel to customer locations, sometimes on short notice, for AOG and scheduled work

What we're looking for

  • Basic mechanical skills and experience using hand and power tools
  • A strong interest in aviation maintenance and a willingness to learn
  • Attention to detail and the discipline to follow procedures exactly
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel
  • Ability to work in confined spaces (fuel tanks), wear a respirator and protective equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice to have

  • A&P certificate, or currently enrolled in a Part 147 school
  • Aircraft sheet-metal or structures experience (military experience welcome)
  • Familiarity with Gulfstream, Embraer, Bombardier, Airbus or Boeing aircraft

What we offer

  • Hands-on training from technicians with decades of fuel-system and structures experience
  • Competitive pay
  • Per diem when traveling
  • 401(k)
  • A path to grow into a lead technician role
