Embedded Software Engineer - Medical Device- Job Opportunity
Location: Fully Onsite In St. Petersburg, FL
Hiring Method: 12 Month Contract w Extensions and Potential for Hire
Shift: 1st Shift (M-F)
Compensation: $48.12 to $86.63
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (electrical or computer science)
- C, C++, C#
- 3+ years experience with Sensor + sensorless BLDC/DC motor controls
- Static analysis, unit/integration, white box + black box testing
-Electromechanical troubleshooting
- Python scripting for testing
- Strong understanding of design/testing principles
- Git + Azure DevOps/JIRA

Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Software/Firmware Design Engineer in St. Petersburg, FL . This person will design, develop, and test embedded software/firmware that runs on microprocessors and microcontrollers. This person will be involved throughout the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, detailed design, coding, unit testing, and integration testing. They should have a strong understanding of embedded systems and 8-, 16-, and 32-bit processors/microcontrollers, be comfortable following established software design processes, and be able to work both independently and as part of an engineering team.
