Night Work
Job Summary
Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial electrical systems during night shift operations. Must have at least 3 years of commercial electrical experience and be able to perform electrical work independently, follow project specifications, and maintain compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
Candidates must be dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working overnight hours to meet project deadlines and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial electrical systems and equipment.
- Bend and install EMT, rigid conduit, and cable tray.
- Install and terminate electrical wiring and cable.
- Install lighting, panels, switchgear, and electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot motors, motor controls, and electrical control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
- Perform electrical service, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Follow NEC, local electrical codes, and OSHA safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
- Coordinate work with foremen, project managers, and other trades.
- Complete assigned work efficiently while meeting project deadlines.
- Be available to work night shifts, including overnight hours as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of commercial electrical experience.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent commercial electrical experience.
- Experience with commercial electrical installations.
- Working knowledge of NEC and commercial electrical practices.
- Ability to bend conduit and perform electrical installations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Experience using electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned job sites.
- Must be able to work overnight/night shift schedules.
- Strong attendance, dependability, and commitment to job-site safety.
