About the role
ELA Group is seeking a proven transportation engineering leader to direct and grow our Transportation Practice across Pennsylvania. This is more than a technical role. We are looking for a business-minded leader who can build client relationships, mentor talented professionals, drive strategic growth, and serve as a trusted advisor to municipalities, developers, institutions, and public agencies. You’ll lead a team that delivers transportation solutions ranging from traffic impact studies and PennDOT permitting to signal design, corridor studies, municipal traffic engineering, and transportation planning.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow ELA’s Transportation Practice
- Develop new client relationships and expand existing accounts
- Mentor and develop transportation professionals
- Oversee project delivery, quality, and profitability
- Serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor
- Collaborate with planners, landscape architects, surveyors, and civil engineers
- Shape the future direction of transportation services at ELA
Qualifications
- PE license required
- 15+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Proven leadership and team-building skills
- Strong business development and client management experience
- Knowledge of PennDOT regulations and transportation planning
- PTOE certification preferred
