About the role

We're hiring recent CDL-A grads in Lynn Haven, Callaway and Bay County for an OTR dry van seat. Training pays $650 a week, solo pay averages $1,200–$1,800 a week, and you're home every two weeks.

You want to know what you'll actually make, so here is every piece of the paycheck, laid out plainly.

Where your money comes from

  • Training: $650 a week for 3 to 5 weeks (200–250 hours)
  • Your first 3 months solo: never less than $1,000 a week
  • After that: $1,200 to $1,800 a week on average
  • Miles: 1,800 to 2,900 a week
  • Extra stops: $15 each
  • Short hauls: $75 plus miles
  • Monthly performance bonus
  • Orientation: $300 once hired
  • Paid every week

Two weeks out, then home

A normal cycle is two weeks of driving and then home. You pull dry van freight from Denver east and stay out of the Northeast. Some loads are drop and hook, some are preloaded, and some are live. Weekend driving is part of it, and holidays are your call.

How you get from new CDL to solo

After a short orientation of two days at most, with lodging covered and your bus ticket reimbursed, you ride with a mentor for 3 to 5 weeks, about 200–250 hours. You learn backing, trip planning, logs and fueling on real freight. Then you get your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average, with an automatic or a 10-speed.

Benefits (start after 30 days)

  • Medical, dental, vision, prescriptions
  • 401(k), stock purchase plan, employee assistance program
  • Tuition-free online degree for you and one dependent
  • Riders allowed, and one dog under 40 lbs after training

Who we're looking for

  • 21 or older with a Class A CDL
  • New grads welcome, or 6 months of recent experience
  • Up to 2 moving violations in 2 years
  • No DUI/DWI in 10 years
  • Able to pass a DOT physical and hair and urine drug test

Apply today. A recruiter will reach out to you.
