About the role
Title: Business Development Manager, Healthcare Staffing
Location: Miami, FL or Orlando, FL (Hybrid) or Remote, Florida
About the role
Ascendo Healthcare is growing, and we're looking for a business developer who knows how to open doors. This person will work directly with our Partner/Managing Director and our Director of Talent Development to win new accounts and expand the ones we already have.
We place physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and physician executives in locum tenens, direct hire, and leadership roles nationwide. We have the recruiting engine, the candidate pipeline, and the data tools. We need someone who can get us in front of the right decision makers and turn conversations into contracts.
What you'll do
- Identify and target health systems, hospitals, physician groups, payers, and other healthcare organizations with active or recurring staffing needs
- Break into new accounts through outbound calls, email, LinkedIn, events, and referrals
- Build relationships with CMOs, CNOs, VPs of Physician Services, Medical Staff leaders, Talent Acquisition, and HR decision makers
- Get Ascendo onto vendor lists and MSP/VMS programs, and navigate procurement and contracting
- Present candidates and solutions to prospective clients alongside our recruiting team
- Grow existing accounts by uncovering new departments, specialties, and service lines
- Keep pipeline, activity, and account notes current in Bullhorn and report on progress
- Partner with leadership on target account strategy, pricing, and go-to-market planning
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of business development or account management in healthcare staffing, locum tenens, or healthcare services
- A track record of opening new logos, not just managing inherited accounts
- Comfort calling into senior clinical and administrative leaders
- Working knowledge of MSP/VMS programs and how health systems buy staffing
- Self-starter who can build a plan, work it daily, and own the number
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Comfortable with CRM/ATS tools (Bullhorn a plus), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo or similar
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Why Ascendo
- Direct access to leadership and a real say in how we grow
- Competitive base plus uncapped commission
- Established recruiting team and tools behind you, so you can focus on selling
- Multiple lines of business to sell into the same accounts: physicians, APPs, nursing, and leadership search
- Hybrid flexibility
