About the role
Our client, an established and growing manufacturing firm, seeks a progressive, resourceful professional to join its Project Management Office. This highly visible, hands-on position blends project management, business analysis, AI adoption, process improvement and communication across business units and organizational levels. The organization is modernizing its IT environment, moving beyond legacy systems and adopting advanced technologies. The successful candidate will help drive that change while taking on a wide variety of priorities in partnership with the Director of Program Management. As the IT department restructures to become more AI-forward, this role is built for a versatile team member who is comfortable wearing many hats in a lean team where colleagues regularly contribute across functions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate IT projects and strategic initiatives, including planning, requirements gathering, documentation, testing, implementation support and progress reporting.
- Engage stakeholders across departments and levels to understand business needs, align priorities and translate requirements into actionable improvements.
- Serve as the liaison between business units and developers, managing requirements, testing and communication throughout each project.
- Identify opportunities to use AI, agents and automation to reduce manual work, streamline workflows and improve productivity.
- Build or prototype practical AI-enabled solutions using scripting and available AI tools; help colleagues adopt these tools effectively.
- Write prompts for and test AI chatbots, including custom chatbots built on the organization’s Microsoft platform.
- Support testing on the Microsoft platform and contribute to the evaluation of Snowflake for future data and analytics needs.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, recommendations and project updates to business stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Take ownership of varied assignments, proactively solve problems and generate enthusiasm for new approaches.
Experience
- At least 1–2 years of corporate IT experience, preferably in business analysis, project management or a closely related role; early-career candidates with exceptional aptitude and potential will also be considered.
- Demonstrated hands-on use or introduction of AI tools (such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot) in a professional setting, with concrete examples of efficiency gains, automation or business value.
- Working knowledge of one or two scripting languages (such as Python, JavaScript or PowerShell) sufficient to support AI agents and automation.
- Experience with, or willingness to learn and test on, the Microsoft platform; exposure to Snowflake is a plus.
- Exposure to Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks to structure project lifecycles and ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Authored clear user stories and managed project backlogs utilizing Jira and Azure DevOps to track deliverables from discovery through execution.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including confident presentation of ideas to senior leadership.
- Strong analytical, organizational and stakeholder-management skills; ability to prioritize multiple changing assignments.
- Proactive, adaptable and persuasive approach, with the ability to engage others in technology and process change.
