About the role

About Monarch Air Group

Monarch Air Group is a premier provider of on-demand air charter and private jet solutions for corporations, government agencies, and individuals worldwide. From humanitarian missions to bespoke travel, we deliver versatility, safety, and reliability on every trip.

The role

We are seeking an Automation & Integration Developer to join our IT & Data team and help build the systems and technology that power our charter business. This is a hands-on development role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, writing production-quality code, building reliable integrations, and creating automations that make the business more efficient.

In this role, you will work across our technology stack: developing and enhancing our CRM platform, connecting internal and external applications, and identifying opportunities to automate manual or inefficient processes. You will have end-to-end ownership of your work, from understanding the business need and designing the solution to selecting the right approach, building and deploying it, and ensuring it continues to perform reliably.

We’re looking for someone who takes the time to understand how systems and processes actually work, evaluates different solutions, and chooses the right approach rather than simply the quickest one. This role is ideal for a developer who has built a strong technical foundation in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take on broader responsibilities, greater ownership, and a more direct role in shaping how systems are designed and implemented across the organization.

We actively incorporate AI into the way we work, from day-to-day development to the systems we put into production, and we’re looking for someone who is comfortable doing the same. Beyond technical ability, we value strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, curiosity, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.

What you will do

· Design, build, and maintain integrations between internal and external systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON

· Build automations that remove manual work: workflow tools, serverless functions, scheduled jobs

· Develop within Salesforce (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, validation rules), choosing the right tool for each problem and being able to explain why

· Design the solution, not just the code: pick the right tool for the problem, be able to explain why, and flag when the ask is not the real problem

· Own your work end to end, from scoping through deployment, monitoring, and maintenance

· Find what is slow, fragile, or outdated and fix it, with a plan and a reason

· Keep the data layer clean, consistent, and reliable across every integration you touch

· Contribute to AI-driven solutions for the business, and use AI tools daily to work faster

What we are looking for

· 2 to 4 years of hands-on development experience building integrations, automations, or applications

· Experience developing on Salesforce or a comparable CRM / low-code platform, with the ability to ramp on Salesforce quickly

· Practical experience building system integrations with REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON

· Strong fundamentals in at least one language (Python, JavaScript, Apex, SQL, or similar)

· A working understanding of how CRM platforms, cloud services (such as AWS), APIs, and data flows fit together

· A track record of taking ambiguous problems and figuring them out, with examples you can walk us through in detail

· The habit of investigating before escalating, and of proposing improvements.

· Clear communication about technical decisions and tradeoffs, in writing and in person

· Genuine, daily fluency with AI and LLM tools

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have

· Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Administrator)

· AWS or other cloud experience

· Experience staging data into a SQL database (such as Azure SQL) for reporting

· Exposure to IT security fundamentals: access control, identity management, secure API practices

· Experience in travel, aviation, transportation, or other high-volume operational environments

Monarch Air Group is a rapidly growing and evolving company, and we are excited for you to be part of a team dedicated to delivering world-class service, reliability, and safety to our clients.
